It's an All Points Bulletin (The B.S. is as thick as moss)
I never have been bombarded with such B.S. B.S from every front, from all fronts. It's very afronting the B.S. B.S. on the ground. B.S. in your gown. B.S. in the air, Pee Pee in your hair. B.O. on the down low, B.S. Weiner News, with a capital W. Women's right to equal pay. Yes. Women broadcasters? A thing of the past. Hen parties, clucking and clucking about nothing. Should be f--king. The national news was a cell phone commercial. Immediately it tells you who owns their station, their network, their institution, everything. The "Man." He owns it all and is dictating the news, Weiner News. How about the particle accelerator in Switzerland? How about the U.S. Military's triumph over ISIS? We get Weiner News. Weiner News. Amateur news reporting. B.S so deep I am tired of stepping in it. The most evolved and successful nation on earth? The most expensive health care costs AND children of dying of the flu? @#$%^&^$##@!!!!!!!! Failure of the status quo on a massive level. Deception. Defeat. Trump. Government shut down? Tax cut for the rich. A trillion dollar addition to the deficit. For the rich. B.S. Kids dying of the flu? America's health care system failing at a massive level. Not enough fluids. Can't fight the flu? Can't do, anything. I'll do anything to escape the B.S. Today FedEx called and told me that I would be getting a package today, and I should be here to sign for it. I waited, at home, ALL DAY. No package. FedEx. Fred X. Freeda Burrito. No package. All day, waiting for the cable guy. Time Warner. How inconsiderate. It's the weather they say. It was 100% sunny today. Sunny on all fronts. Slave compounds on 87 South. Human trafficking. The murder of whores in Lumbieville. Drug dealers. 50 caliber machine guns going all day, in your back yard. Anxiety over death. Anxiety over war. People dropping like flies. Is there any news left. On You Tube to be eligible for monetization you must have 1000 subscribers and 1000 view minutes per month. I have more minutes than that but only 250 subscribers. Subscribers? To what do they subscribe? Precrime? Free trial? You will never make a penny from You Tube unless you are Sandy Somers, a Brazilian ex-porn actress who unpackages Disney toys for tots. Kiddie porn, and I hear she makes two million a year. It's all politics. They choose. They decide who gets what. All of it. Living in a box, and not the right box. Hot box. Jennifer's hot box. Boxy. Foxy. Toad. Chode. Afrode of the dark. Monster's Ball. Billy Bob T. Halle Berry. "Make me feel good."

Dickendorff
So (beginning a sentence with a conjunction, which is a "no-no,") Hans Zimmer and his buddy stepped in to do the score for Bladerunner 2017. (Sorry, it is another date, but what significance is '49'? Summer of Forty Two. 1981. 2012. 2049. Blade Runner 2049. It was a heavy film, heavy in content, tone, and intent. I liked it, but I was not ready for the Apocalyptic content. After realizing that I would be frightened by the scenario (and it was realistic, mainly from little sounds morphed into big sounds via EQ). This is a new cinematic technique that untalented composers are using. If you can't really compose themes with a pencil, you can improvise on shitty samplers and turn the bass up. Infrasonic textures will emerge, not really music or a score, but sound effects that emulate war. Not my cup of tea for a film, but it was effective enough. I am tired of looking at the Apocalypse. Fully I believe it could happen in our lifetime, and fully I believe if Trump remains President it is likely. It is our decision, the U.S. of A. Keep Trump in power as our president, or impeach him for the Nazi. It's bust however you look at it. Pence? Cheney? Nazi? What is worse? Cheney was awarded no bid contracts to rebuild Iraq. Haliburton masterminded "The War on Terror" and went to the bank. Only today, 2018, have we cleaned up his mess. Cheney should be prosecuted as a war criminal at The Hague. Maybe he will die in prison like Slobodan Milosovich. We would be so lucky. All of our recent presidents are corrupt and evil, so it is this chapter in American history in which we live. It is tiring, although Hollyweird is trying. Tony Bennett always has been my favorite jazz singer second to Joe Williams. He was awarded the Gershwin prize and he deserves it. That was a nice band, and the eccentric pianists had feel out the whazoo. Tony's pianist didn't swing that much, but his interpretation of words is Frankian, or perhaps better. Bennian. I enjoyed the show at the DAR Constitutional Hall. The acoustics were impeccable, and the sound was rich, full, and full of life. G-Phan was on her regular game and "The Words Did Not Get in the Way." For a middle-aged man and single, those gals were punk. It is a tragedy that Amy Winehouse died. America may be the best country in the world, as Tony saith, but we have a long way to go to even catch up to our former glory. What we have are rich kids having fun. I want to say this emphatically now. The new CEO policy, CEO's being paid exponentially more than anyone else, for their influence on Segal Street? All ready it has become apparent that if you don't PAY employees who do a job, the company will fail. All of them will fail, because you need employees to do jobs that CEO's and their rich kids can't do. Trump. (Subliminal messaging) Not Gump. Trump. Trump is the example. Slavery. Do nothing at the top, and fire all of your employees because revenue is being created by bubbles and futures. Eventually your company will die, because no longer is it a company. Companies have employees, diverse rosters of intelligent, talented, willing, artists who create content and lead the world. When you pare down you company, eliminate these jobs, and refuse to pay anyone, then you get, well WalMart. Sam is turning over in his grave. If you don't PAY sound engineers, lighting technicians, and grips, you won't have a quality show. You will have Steven (or is it Stephan?) Colbert. Lousy sound, no boom mic, no AKG or Sennheiser on the desk, and amateur lavaliers. I had to stop watching a fruity drummer in a Brokeback Mountain cowboy hat. Jimmy Fallon, James Corden, and Steven all of show-worthy talent. James Corden sings as well as anyone, and he knows the songs as well as the artists. Car Pool Karioke is the highpoint of his show, and Madonna to this day makes me hot. Why? Not because of her button-pushing, but because she understands music and dance. The choreography is just as important as the music, and while she or Brittany may not be the most capable of vocalists, they do understand and feel what they are singing. It is visual, and I am becoming more visual, a visual artist. A poet, don't know it. A Jackson. A Johnson, on a farm in Iowa seducing Clint Eastwood, or Johann Johannson Johnson, aka Jerimiah Johannson big boobies. Without job descriptions, work, and a concept, no company can exist. Renderman just cannot do all the work. The slavery concept that has been emerging in America is not new. It is our soul. Affluent dickheads that believe that slaves should work for free for their gain? It is why Abraham Lincoln said "Nay!" (and hundreds of thousands of Americans lost their lives on our native soil) Remember that? It draws nigh.
Bladerunner XXX
Since I bashed the technology of our time in my last blog entry, a defensive front was launched. It was a good thing. It reminded me that there have been some great strides in modern technology. The only thing is now I can't remember them. One was Alexa. Bezos's invention, or rather his further expansion of voice recognition software into Alexa, was an entrepreneurial achievement. Apple, before Time Cooke, all ready has developed most of the things any computer company is marketing today. Tim Cooke just took nerdy professional home computing, computing not done on the UNIX platform in a company, watered it down, sprinkled it with pop, and addicted most of America. Even adults took a bite of his apple. When a plumber comes to you home to fix a leak in you tub oozing through your downstairs ceiling umbilically attached to his phone talking to his wife.... He couldn't even put the phone down long enough to tighten the pressure fittings. He acted like it was an inconvenience for him to be there fixing his partner's mistake. Finally he put the phone down on the toilet seat and in a few seconds fixed our problem. In the process he broke the fifty-two year old tub trap. Not only did his partner leave without tightening the fittings, he didn't plug the tub when he drilled through the tile. All of that debris went into the tub trap and clogged it up. This guy acted like we were fabricating the whole thing. His only point of interest was having to come back and replace ALL of the tub's pipes in the ceiling to fix one broken screw. We had been waiting for them to return for a few days, and now they wanted us to wait two more weeks with the ceiling caving in downstairs. It's hit and miss with plumbers, just like it is with auto mechanics. Most of the time they are pitching you a repair that doesn't exist. Anyway, Tim took Apple's great products, laced them with crack cocaine, and started going to the bank. Never was I interested in "apps." Microsoft's first versions of Word were the best. Later, like most things today, companies lost direction, focus, and morality. Computing has become a crap shoot of keeping up. Apple and the rest, because the best products all ready have been made years ago, just keep tweaking their operating systems to make your life more difficult. The biggest erroneous trend was basing your home computing, not web browsing, on the internet. Registering your products. Receiving product support. Banking. This opened the door for Chinese and Russian hackers to bugger the lot of us. Anyone who would trust their information to a plural cloud server is stupid. You deserve to get hacked and lose your information. I don't even use Drop Box. Because I have been a professional composer for a while, I protect my work. It all is copyrighted by the Library of Congress Copyright Office. I have certificates for each submission, and there are a lot. Today, like everything else, the significance of copyright seems moot. Once, when ASCAP and BMI were power players in the entertainment industry and collected royalties, copyright was important. Today the modern technology consort has deemed artistic content, almost everything, worthless. Technology, really internet technology, with digital streaming dramatically has lessened the value of visual media. If your content is available on an unsecured internet, then how can it have value? Music was first, and Mr. Napster is responsible for the collapse of the recording industry. I can understand using a hard drive as your home entertainment system. It is convenient especially if you work on a ship. I debated buying a laptop computer for a long time. After I did iTunes became indispensable to me as a professional tool. I archived everything I had ever done musically, performances, compositions, and the like. When a Guest Entertainer came to a ship, most likely I would have a self made recording of their show. I never shared it with anyone, but it was a valuable learning tool. I used a Sharp mini disc player with a specialty miniature condenser mic. German engineers created the compression scheme for the mini disc player, and the modern MP4 we use for digital music is based on it. The mini disc sounds incredibly good, and I have hung onto these machines. I have four, and three microphones. I prefer them to any stand along portable MP4 recorder available today. When I stopped playing on ships for a living, it took a long time to acclimate to the old school. I still had my stereo equipment from back in the day, just like I had all of my professional music gear. It just needed TLC. The turntable finally I pitched into the garbage only a few weeks ago, but the rest of it I still use. I have begun to appreciate again CD's, DVD's, vinyl albums, and cassette tapes. I have my great uncle's vintage classical collection on vinyl, I have tapes I made while studying for general exams at OSU, and I have CD's and DVD's. Most of the DVD's were purchased while working on the ships. Before the crew channels began showing first run movies, I carried these around in folders for late night entertainment. The laptop is a great faux miniature movie theater which sits on your chest as you are lying in your bunk. Now I am remembering how to use all of this information. It dawned on me that part of your life is spent collecting invaluable media, and part of your life is intended to consume it. We must remember when it is okay to consume. In times of spiritual malaise, political despair, and depression it becomes time to look to this media for upliftment. I went to see Bladerunner last night, and I was shocked that it became a horror film. It was a heavy worthy movie, but it was more emotional intensity than I expected. I will give it the prize for what is happening in the world today: How to make as much money as possible from nothing. The musical score for Bladerunner was the epitome of this philosophy. I have not yet looked up the composer for the score, but I can say without a doubt that it seemed like a beginner. This leads me to believe that Bladerunner was a low budget film. Computers can do a lot these days, but the visuals were pretty high brow. The music was not in the same category. They did what people do today. Without having an understanding of a craft, you just turn up the EQ. Take some crappy digital samples, and turn up each band of EQ until the sounds morphs from instrument into sound effect. That's what most modern films do anyway, jungle drums and low frequency sound effects. The sheer volume in the theater turned the film into a horror experience. The sounds of war, machines, violence, and death were omnipresent, and they were effective enough. They amateurishly were created.

Deserved Hacking
What's frightening about what's happening in "technology" is the mergers. Conveniently as Big Brother re-writes history, the break up of the telecommunications industry into the "Baby Bells" is absent. Does anyone remember? The only difference to what is happening now is the cycle has not completed itself. Back in the day the "wire" was our lifeline. Telephone lines were important and thus capitalism gave them worth. Like what is happening today companies keep selling their wares at a profit, and a small group ends up controlling everything. It is called a Corporate Monopoly. Luckily in the l980's our federal government was honest enough to see this monopoly as a threat to capitalism and our economy which supports our populace. Also luckily not that long ago our federal government was honest enough to see Microsoft's actions as a threat and broke their company up into individual pieces. They lagged for a bit, but if we believe what we hear and read today computer technology is breaking records. How is it humanly possibly that Apple could be approaching the trillion dollar mark? It is not because consumers love their products. It is because stockholders and board members are hyping the product. This product, whatever is may be, is called tech. Tech today is a broad term that encompasses anything and everything internet and computer companies are pitching. It has been being gobbled up like tainted Halloween candy. Then Zuckerberg drops the ball, sells thousands of ads to Russian lobbyists, and the jig is up. Net neutrality becomes an issue and Congress passes legislation that does what? I don't really know, other than it is something about slowing down and speeding up internet service. I'm sure censorship is involved. So all we know is AT&T is trying to buy Time/Warner, and because they all ready bought Direct TV this rapidly is becoming an ensuing corporate monopoly. Blah. Blah. What is means to us is more inane commercials about whose 3G network is the fastest. Who really cares? Who the fuck is J.D. Powers anyway? I don't care. I don't care because I don't own a smartphone. I prefer a laptop computer, because the screen is too small. I have no interest in using Wi-Fi over a cell network, watching streaming video over the internet, or sexting underaged women. I am content with what America has produced over the last two decades, and it is good enough. The rest is deceptive hype. Allow Amazon to unlock my front door and deliver a package? Not gonna happen. Control my home security system with a phone? Not gonna happen. If anyone is gullible enough to buy any of these products or like corporate America use a Cloud computing network, they deserve to get hacked. Hack that.
Human Survival
I blew off a lot of steam in my last blog post, but that was not all of it. Things keep occurring to me the more I refuse to succumb to the submissive demands of the American South. "Why make waves, boy?" "Why stir the pot?" "Why can't you just leave things the way they are?" If we do, then all of the predictions of the fall of America will happen. The eradication of the middle class, rule by oligarchy, and then the impending civil war which will ruin America. Most of the plots in science fiction movies in America's past are on mark. Skynet is real. As soon as Bill Clinton paved the way for airborne, space-oriented, microwave transponders Skynet became real. My point is about perceived technology. That is all we hear about today. Technology. I have been reflecting on technology, and it dawned on me refusing to succumb to the submissive demands of the American oligarchy, that the technology that is being pitched today, and I mean feverishly pitched on a minute to minute basis, is not traditional technology at all. If one takes the time to look back in America's recent history, most of the technological demands, the meaningful ones, all ready have been met. We in technology, like in jazz and cinema, all ready have reached the pinnacle of achievement. We just don't know it yet, because we are too brainwashed to acknowledge anything other than what media is pitching us on a minute to minute basis. We would never know that anything else existed except automobiles sanctioned by J.D. Powers and G whatever wireless networks. As I was watching a movie circa 1956 on the MGM channel last night, it dawned on me that this film, this achievement, far surpassed anything we see today. True American technology, the great inventions of necessity which have built this country, dwarf the horny minds of Silicone Valley. A distinction will be made in the near future. Technology, great American technology exists in the past. It, like jazz, all ready as reached a pinnacle of achievement. We only must look back. Technology is building the Hoover Dam, the Brooklyn Bridge, putting a man on the moon, or providing clean drinking water to the masses. What is being pitched to us today as technology merely is online and wireless networking. Yes strides have been made in computing such as 3D printing, but making computers smaller and equipping them with trite "apps" to control our home security systems or pay for drinks is not really technology. It is software development, a bit of entrepreneurship, and a whole lot of young money reaped from the same technology bubble which created online E-Commerce. We keep hearing about technology. Are Dr. Dre's $200.00 headphones really that much better than Bose or Sennheiser? Most of what we hear today is hype, spin, bubbles being blown by Wall Street step children. Technology is the Yamaha DX-7, the Korg M1, or the first sampler which could digitally record sound and play it back from a computer keyboard. These trite little "apps," violent games which actualize and foster suppressed mental illness created by our own polluted environment, and Social Media which all ready has proven to have been Big Brother only disguise true America. It is a scam of giant proportions. Hype, crap, and spin which eventually will burn out leaving the vacuous black whole that is Wall Street. If you don't make anything, if you don't engage in the survival of the human species by the sheer nature of biology, we will cease to exist. Like in War of the Worlds, a minute speck of bacteria will infiltrate our systems and it will be over in the blink of an eye. Today Monsanto, GE, and Big Pharma have pushed the envelope further than it ever has been pushed by irresponsible man. God has destroyed the earth before, but today evil man is accomplishing the same task. If they Mayans predicted 2012, then it merely is taking a little longer to make itself known. If we tried to believe what the media and government are telling us, it would be impossible. That is because both are pawns of the oligarchy. What they tell us is not truth, it is Donald Trump's attempt at being liked. Global Warming, Global Warming, and Global Warming. Flick. They flip a switch, turn off Skynet (Star Wars), and record frigid temperatures are at hand. Believe yourself. Believe in yourself, because never was it more necessary to human survival than today.

Doomsday
I was just going to write a straight blog entry, until I noticed that "Roy's Lolita" had more hits. It was laced with Hip/Hop jazz, rhythmic rhyming at which I am good. Poetry is like music, and while I was on ships and the music muse evaded me, I took to the poetry pen. It flowed like wine, but it also flowed because I was in love. There was my muse. I have no muse today. All I have is total and inescapable depression. I have become well equipped to actualize my own happiness, but that is not possible when the entirety of your country is steeped in despair. There are few places to turn. Then I realize the only solution is to recognize and confront reality. It is a shite state, one so bleak that it defies the majority of my life's experiences. I remember back in the 70's during the era of Viet Nam. Life was bleak then. The war was on the news every night. Turbulent times in America often spark immense creativity, but that creativity is impotent unless The Man allows. Today we have an unprecedented corporate monopoly possibly unlike any other time in American history. From high school history I remember a time when Trusts ruled the roost. Old money which was passed down through family generations ran America. The names are familiar, so I will not say them. The names now have changed and tech companies have inherited the power. I am so nauseous watching the local news I barely can stand it. It is the same feeling I had when I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1985. It was clear to me that freedom was not possible. A small handful of socialites ruled America, and I was not interested in kissing their ass to fit in. Thirty-eight years later I am no better off. I spent the last five years of my life bringing my father's life to an end. I stopped working, moved in with my mother, and took care of the family in an abstract way. Never was it understood what I was doing. In reality it was seen as mooching. I was living in my parent's house for free, but it was not free. It far was from free. I earned my keep and continue to do so, but I am tiring of the responsibility. I am tired of not being independent and free to pursue my own life. That is the call of family. I was in close proximity to my father until he died peacefully on May 6th, 2017. I am glad I was here, although it was a tumultuous time. I began cooking for my mother and myself. As she looked over my dad, I looked over her. I continue to do so. With that task at hand the future looks bleak. I tried emphatically once to try and plan for my impending future, but it was met with outrage. I retracted any plans to be a responsible, independent, productive adult and resigned myself to be a child, a child with a large amount of responsibility taking care of a property and a mother. I am not a care-giver in a literal sense. I am an abstract care giver masquerading as an adult. I have no life of which to speak, but that is okay. I have been through it before. I was exploited by academia and then cast aside. My life was ruined, and yet I started it anew. It took a long time, and now I am back in it again mainly because I am back in the same area where things never have changed. It is amazing how things have not changed, not one bit. Vehemently they stay the same because the baby boomers who forged this place never will relinquish their control. Instead they just die off leaving a completely unprepared populace to wrangle the shit that has been dealt to my generation. I am unusual. Most of my colleagues have successful lives, those who do not live here. Here is a place undefinable. It wreaks havoc on the unsuspecting. It is a sewer, a toilet of the United States military. Like everything life in America today is a faint shadow. Pale and polluted life in America is a depressed, hollow, spiritless ghost running the alley's of Donald Trump's country clubs. Everywhere I look, everything I see, every word I hear is a mockery of the American Ideal. Yes, people are making money, but they are making money the wrong way and for the wrong reasons. As I watch the local news I hear fat cat talking about restoring downtown Raleigh. He is so happy that he is doing something historic, tearing down history and building inconsequential shit that iPhone watching panty wipes want. I can't listen to it. I can't listen to the fact that sixty new people are moving to the Triangle everyday. To me that means overpopulation, L.A.-like traffic, and pollution. It does not mean prosperity except to the fat cat that has bought up property in downtown Raleigh. It makes me want to puke. He is a beady-eyed pig who barely can communicate with an average reporter. He is so ensconced in his own material wealth, like most Wall Street bankers and traders, his disingenuous bent is tangible. It is all he can do to convey his selfish and greedy business. He is an opportunist, someone who has no inclination to watch out for the future of America or the world. We are so misguided, so off path, so dishonest, and disingenuous how can God even consider us? Recently a college aquaintance posted a blog entry about moving into administration from the humanities. It was all I could do to listen. He has had the grail, a college teaching position for most of his life. He has had the family like many of my friends from high school. They all grew up the same way, into their parents, yuppies with kids. I have spent the last five years of my life burying my father. I gave up what life I had for my family. I didn't think about it too much. It was the right thing to do. I gave up any prospect of having a future for myself in lieu of providing support for what was left of my family. Any time I made an attempt to be responsible by thinking about myself and how I could be productive, it was met with scorn. So like Jesus I gave it up. Most days I get up and feel an impassioned urge to be productive in the field of music, but what's the point? The jobs in Fayetteville died with my father. His era, the era of the Baby Boomers, which wholly and totally took care of their own generation, up and left the remnants of America to us. To Trump. To an Army that is rife with homosexuality, a private security force protecting the poppy fields of the Sackler family. The media is nonexistent. Here are my headlines. The American military victory in Iraq. The repair of the power grid in Puerto Rico. The fleecing of America by Congress. The skewing of heterosexuality and God. The fall of Capitalism. The death of art in America. None of it gets coverage. We are in complete denial of the reality of what America has become. The media is promoting tech, the thing that has killed the American spirit. It won't be long before it all will come tumbling down, and only those capable of sowing a seed, tending a crop, or fetching a pail of water will survive.

Tesla and his Innovation
I never really even got started, but I did it in a passive humanitarian way. I never really even hit the nail on the head, because none of us, me included, really know the answer. Maybe Tesla knows the answer, and I don't mean a car company. Electricity, this magical wondrous thing that fuels our world. It, like everything else, we have exaggerated into a technological marvel which better was understood in America's glory days. Those who created our country, those inventors, apprentices, and master craftsmen who designed, shaped, and built America are gone. The legacy they alone created by sweat, toil, perseverance, and love has been exploited, re-branded, re-purposed, and manipulated by a petty few who seem to be good at trading numbers. Within this mix there are innovators who deserve credit, millennials who have found something new like Alexa. The problem is as soon as the novelty brings revenue, North Korea, Russia, or China will steal and use the idea for political gain. It all ready has happened with the internet. It has been infiltrated, and the Cold War has begun again. Tesla may know the answer, but none of us do. What is happening in an ES44AC is anybody's guess. I know roughly what is happening, because I have read about it. Tesla invented the AC or alternating current driven motor. It differs from a DC or direct current motor by not having brushes on the rotor to carry current. Instead like magic, there is no touching between the rotor and the stator, a cylinder with complex wire windings which carry current and create an electromagnetic field. Somehow when alternating current is applied to the windings the electromagnetic field begins to move along the circular shape of the stator. It moves in a circle over and over again, and this moving electromagnetic field drags along the rotor with it. It pulls the rotor without touching it by producing a strong magnetic field. Magnets are what make the motor spin. Until the early 1990's we did not have the technology to know how to control the speed of an AC motor. Maybe we used rheostats. With the advent of a reliable and portable personal computer (Bill Gates) strides also were made in the field of semiconductors. Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors and Thrysistors were invented allowing electrical switching. Amazingly a system was developed that allowed the computer to control the frequency of electrical power. The computer. A PC. Wow. Of course that is not all there is to it. A large maze of electrical gear is needed to handle the high voltage of a diesel/electric prime mover. Inverters, rectifiers, and alternators are needed to change the frequency of AC current, which in turn somehow is in ratio with the motor speed. Less frequency of AC, the slower the motor turns. Higher frequency of AC, the motor turns faster. Word. How does that relate to a train? Traditional diesel/electric locomotives used DC traction motors. They were motors built into the axles of the locomotives. These are what pull the train. It would seem the railroads were not satisfied with the performance of these machines. On heavy haul applications such as coal trains traveling slowly on small grades the motors would overheat and burn out. Enter AC traction. Someone versed in the art of electricity would know that it performs in ways similar to sound. Interestingly electricity has frequency, wavelength, and harmonic content which you can hear. It is organic, alive, and dangerous. When dealing with a concept with which no one has before such as variable frequency alternating current, precautions should have been taken to study the process. In short I have a recording on minidisk of a departing AC4000 locomotive. I was parked directly adjacent to the pair of engines when it took off. I pushed the record button on my machine, and what I captured could have been used in a science fiction film. It was like a UFO taking off from earth and flying into the heavens. The sound of the processed electricity were breath taking. It roared, it hummed, and it grumbled, and none of this was the sound of a GEVO or 7FDL engine. These are sound solely that are produced by the electrical system of the train. America has been hearing 'The Hum" for years, and the hum created by this processing is most of it. When you create megawatts of electricity with a massive rotating alternator and only let a small amount of it out, the rest of the harnessed energy has something to say. It is like Beelzebub in chains, in a metal box screaming at the top of his lungs. Okay. The electricity makes noise, but the thing I do not know that Tesla might is leakage. I am familiar with the infrasound waves of trains. I live within earshot of the CSX-T mainline and a stone's throw from their Hamlet and Rocky Mount installations. I hear freight and passenger trains day in and day out, but something changed. Suddenly there was a new girl on the block. In addition to those undulating infrasound waves, and I have not yet described them all, is a new phenomenon. This wave changes in frequency in response to physical stimuli. At first I was sure it was the AC component of this new technology, but now this electrical processing is producing its own low frequency SOUND? Or could it be electricity? Because electricity behaves in similar waves to sound, perhaps what I am perceiving like sound actually is electricity. How could variable frequency alternating current be escaping into our home? At one point in Tesla's career, he had the bright idea of transmitting AC current to the world from a huge dish for free. That proves that AC can be transmitted through the air, but is that such a good idea? Certainly because we know both low frequency sound and electromagnetic waves are dangerous down low, wouldn't electricity follow suit? I feel this wave vibrating, and I know vibration is the result of magnetism. Also it is the result of electricity flowing. Consequently that means it could be an electromagnetic wave, but to broadcast or transmit low frequency electromagnetic signals one needs a 150 miles long antenna like the Navy has to communicate with its subs. This energy is not changing frequency. I postulate if it is not the United States military's targeting systems in the field, which some do use this technology, that is is "leaking" alternating current emanating from heavy haul 4,550 horse power GE locomotives. I have heard people say in Chicago along the tracks if you hold out a fluorescent bulb it will light up. That proves that truly we have electricity in the air enough to light up small appliances. If we as American citizens could not find a way to utilize this free energy instead of growing cancer cells.

The G.D. Stock Market
America has become a bubble. As industry and jobs in manufacturing have left the country, a large percentage of our GNP, only online retail has emerged as a possible replacement. We have seen how that goes. Online retail. The spoils stay close to the tree. The money no longer is dispersed in a logical way that supports our system of Capitalism. The recent scoop has been trillions of dollars are shelved in Switzerland and Grand Cayman. Private banks have been created to provide a tax shelter for the wealthy. No surprise here. I have known that for years. Capitalism is not working, because the money has been sucked out of the system and is sitting in banks not circulating. Circulating. Money which circulates is a quintessential element of Capitalism. It would seem this has been forgotten, so in a nutshell our socioeconomic has been abandoned. The system responsible for creating the great wealth that sits in overseas banks, has been deemed defunct. Enough money has been made by the oligarchy that they are content with their fortunes. We as American citizens must recognize, acknowledge, and concede that the system that created America is no longer. Capitalism is extinct. This is why the country is floundering, and yet prices still are rising. Part of it is the holidays, a time when many of us are programmed to spend. It is part of our nature, and will we do it regardless of inflated consumer prices? That is yet to be seen. Cyber Monday was a huge success, so the internet it seems has become our new system. The converse side of that equation is that our spent money also is not being dispersed or circulated to those who need it. It also is being hoarded into those great fortunes sitting in Swiss and Caymen banks. It would seem that amassing money is more important than America herself. I have known this for a long time as well. Globalization murdered the American Dream. What CEO in their right mind would pay an American work force when foreigners will do the same job for a fraction of the cost? American made. American made used to mean something, and it meant quality. It meant products were manufactured by people, and those people took pride in their work. This pride was a result of a dedication to an aesthetic, a work ethic that is incorporated in a lifestyle. That lifestyle was America. For the cycle to complete itself, one must take pride in their work. They must care about it. It becomes part of them, and that work supports their lives. Then there was slavery. There was slavery, and bigot elitists felt they had the right to demand labor for free from lesser beings. They were entitled. This sentiment again has emerged in America, and again we as Americans who should understand Capitalism has been rendered extinct also should understand the ruling oligarchy in America cares naught for us. We are lesser beings. We are stupid, and how can we not be when the building blocks of a fruitful life have been eradicated. Our environment. Our system of public education. Religion. God. Fairness. Peace. These components systematically have been removed from American society with the intent of dumbing down our populace. It has worked. We are hooked. Each and every day is a struggle to stay above water when our entire system is trying to make us fail. The idea of helping people. The idea of providing opportunity and nurturing for talent. All of it. Instead we have the cheapest, lowest, superficial system, like Mother, like Big Brother, like a giant computer who only is playing odds, gambling on a two bit one armed bandit with the future of America the Beautiful. Take Amtrak for instance. Anyone who is familiar with American history knows. Amtrak was a dog, a dog Washington decided to bail out. Never was it any shining star. It was a mule, a low performing mule which like city buses provide root level services to the poor. In the new and exciting aesthetic of Wall Street, sprinkle a little sugar on a turd and sell it as a pooled mortgage disguised as a financial instrument that promises the holy grail. Deception. Deception is trying to turn Amtrak, a decrepit skeleton of decaying America into a stealth European bullet train. With no high tech infrastructure, only the dying bones of a neglected American landscape, emulate a high earning, successful, progressive investment built with thousands of employees, jobs, and support. Like the internet, Big Brother, Mother, a guy in a cubicle run Amtrak trains faster than they are capable and sell it for quick profit. What's the fucking rush? Unlike winding highways, rail lines cut through middle America. They are the most direct route to get anywhere, but they are old. Consequently you should not run a Porsche on a dirt track, but they did. Without proper vetting, without the oversight of the National Transportation Safety Board, or the Federal Railroad Administration, or anyone they decided to open a new quicker route promising holiday shoppers something special. It is America on Crack. America on Meth. America on Sacklers. We are operating in a drug induced delirium, stoned on opiates, and in denial of the condition of the human race. It is called Delusions of Grandeur. It is called Trump.
The World's Contentious Mobile Convection Oven
A General Electric ES44AC diesel electric locomotive in Notch 1 begins at 450 revolutions per minute. Whether it is a GEVO or 7FDL twelve or sixteen cylinder prime mover, both are turbo-charged four stroke engines which at full load turn at 1050 r.p.m.'s. At idle (450 r.p.m.'s) the rotating crank shaft acting as a mechanical oscillator produces a 7.5 Hertz infrasound wave which audibly cannot be heard. This figure is deduced simply by dividing the engines revolutions per minute by the sixty seconds found in a minute. Cycles per second is the designation for Hertz, the typical measurement of wave frequency, in this case for sound. Infrasound like ultrasound is an extreme designation for sound meaning it is so low in frequency it cannot be heard by the human ear. Typically humans can hear down to 20 Hertz, so logically we can hear both the low E and the fifth string low B on an electric bass. Their respective frequencies are 41 and 30 Hertz. Humans cannot hear a 7.5 Hertz infrasound wave produced by all idling diesel/electric locomotives, but do we perceive them? The answer is yes, and like the experience at a rock concert the reason why we are effected by the music is because not only do we hear it with our ears, we feel it with our bodies. While the definition of the term otoacoustic has changed significantly during the last two decades, once is was used to define how we hear with mechanisms other than our ears. It has been proven that unborn babies respond to sound in the womb. That is because our bodies can perceive sound in many ways, most often through our tactile receptors. We hear with our skin. Because human activity is both chemical and electrical and is carried in waves, sound may be the most effective vehicle for carrying emotion. That is opening Pandora's Box, and Mr. Stravinsky would disagree. In my experience as a doctoral level composer, fully I believe the feelings we may actualize through music composition may be carried directly to the listener through this complex interacting system of perception. Because music at its most effective level merely moves air, and Beethoven said music is the breath of God, I believe this to be true. As human beings were are graced with the ability to perceive this nuances of sound. The trouble is the infrasonic region of sound in particular is problematic. First we cannot hear it, which makes it invisible. If we cannot hear sound how do we know it is happening? The answer is there are all kinds of litmus tests that confirm we are perceiving infrasound. Unfortunately again they turn out to be negative. Low frequency sound has been determined over the years to be harmful to human beings. It is akin to the sounds produced from natural disasters such as earthquakes, tornadoes, and burning wild fires. The easiest way to personify infrasound is to imagine the reaction primitive man would have to the looming footsteps of a dinosaur. Infrasound creates a plethora of tangible human responses which largely are ignored today because they are invisible. Industry has slipped under the radar and proliferated along with their massive output of infrasonic pollution. With simple mathematics it is easy to discern that a diesel/electric locomotive at idle, that being 450 revolutions per minutes, a 45,000 pound four stoke turbo-charged twelve or sixteen cylinder prime mover creates a 7.5 Hz infrasonic wave which never subsides. When the engine is engaged as the operator moves the throttle up in notches, the r.p.m.'s increase to 1050. This is when 4,500 horsepower is produced by the locomotive's onboard electrical system. 1050 divided by sixty seconds in a minute is 17.5, a frequency that is at just the threshold of human hearing. In one instance as the locomotive sits unused, like they often do in switching yards waiting for personnel changes or the next shift, it is creating a sound wave that is more capable then the lowest strings of a bass guitar at a rock concert. The question is what is its amplitude? The conundrum of locomotive building is that an engine is useless unless it is running. When it runs it runs continuously unlike the notes played in a rock song. It runs continuously. Again with simple mathematics or physics it is easy to calculate that a 7.5 Hertz low frequency sound wave is longer than the 112 feet of a 10 Hz tone. This is the lowest conversion I could find easily on the web. Let's assume that it is 130 feet. For the soundwave to complete itself, that is to be perceived in some way by the receptors of the human being, one would have to be at least 130 feet away. This is good news for locomotive operators, and it is one reason why you will find little discussion by them on the ill effects of their trade. Not unlike the cruise industry employees often are not affected by their own ship. More likely they are affected by surrounding vessels operating in close or relative proximity. When one is cruising solo, meaning there are no other ships in sight, it is a comfortable and relaxing situation. As soon as other vessels come into view, a value similar to the body's tactile receptors, we begin to perceive their presence the way we will perceive that of a locomotive. We can't hear them, but we will sense them. We will sense them in the ways that have been determined over the years, most notably by French Scientist Vladimir Gavreau. The nature of the diesel is that is produces sound wholly that is unlike any other sounds in the universe except those of nature. The droning of a waterfall, the crashing of waves, the rumble of a volcano. These can be frightening events because the sound is ominous, relentless, and non stopping. Every second an idling diesel/electric locomotive outputs a 7.5 Hz sound wave with a frequency say of 130 feet. Each repetition of this wave sums itself on the previous wave and they continue to sum proportionately ad nauseam. If the amplitude of the original wave is nominal, which probably it is and which is why operators rarely complain about their jobs, the amplitude of this infrasound wave continues to increase as it travels seemingly infinitely. It has been recorded that infrasound waves from natural phenomena will circle the glove five times. Rest assured that for each locomotive in operation in the world, and GE alone brags about their 30,000 ES44AC's, each machine is producing an infrasound wave that is traveling long distances and carrying massive air pressure, the kind of pressure that cannot be rivaled by the loudest rock band in existence. It is almost impossible to imagine such a scenario and yet it exists. It largely is what is creating Global Warming. The burning of fossil fuels, and certainly the diesel/electric locomotive falls into that catagory burning diesel for its combustion, is a large part of Global Warming, but sound waves capable of moving air around the world are escalating the problem. How else could warm air be reaching the poles? It is because warm air is being pumped through them like like a giant convection oven, and that oven is diesel/electric prime movers.

The Illustrious GE ES44AC
Many of your lucid thoughts come from sleep. Unfortunately sleep is rare to me. I can tell you which vehicles are disturbing my sleep and causing both physical and emotional pain like an Amtrack timetable. Hunter Harrison has put a stop to that, and the integral industries surrounding our home have begun to complain. Although Chemours is under investigation for malfeasance, it would seem they have an opinion about CSX-T's newly implemented high earning operating plan. In the past I would know the time by The Aberdeen and Rockfish's operation. Their local arrives at 10:45 a.m. and departs at 1:45 p.m. As necessary as it crosses Skibo Road it blows the necessary series of alerts for grade crossings. You knew what has happening from the sound of a Leslie train horn. While Fort Bragg has been preparing for World War lll, local train whistles have been mute, but their activity has escalated. This happens when Fort Bragg is "in the field" or rather practicing war-time maneuvers in the Normandy Drop Zone. Camp MacKall has taken more responsibility in the War Against Terror. Because I have been exhausted from lack of sleep caused by the practicing of war, I have been in bed. That has given me the opportunity to reflect upon a transportation system providing logistical support for what my be the worlds largest military base. Ironically the activity at Fort Bragg pales in comparison to the activity of Hunter Harrison's new company. We shall only have to wait to see if his entrepreneurial railroading philosopy will make the trip from Canada to the American South. It would seem his presence, while short-lived, has provided a stock bubble for shareholders. Much has been reported about the management coup transpiring at CSX-T after Mantle Ridge hedge fund purchased a 4.9 stake and demanding the hiring of retired Harrison. Only in the last few days has he taken a medical leave of absence. Wall Street aside only locals can know the real scoop. Harrison's thugs would show up at hospitals and harass injured employees demanding they do not disclose details or receive their medical entitlements. They were threatened. Interesting way to run a company. If my instincts are correct as sleep-deprived as they may be, Mafia-type business is on the rise all over the world. Washington is no exception. Once Gucci Shoe Guys wore designer suits and carried big checks to Washington lawmen. I would suspect in this day and age they now are carrying weapons and consummate threats. Because my schedule is disheveled and erratic the day begins at 8:45 a.m. This is the new fifty. It used to be 5:30 a.m. For the longest time it was 3:30 a.m., the witching hour when the walls would bleed and floors would shake. Then it became 6:00 a.m. for a while. Now it is 8:45, and I have to get out of bed, pee (or lately try to pee because of prostate issues), and go downstairs to open the curtains. After doing so I am overwhelmed by a feeling of exhaustion and make my way back to the bedroom to sleep. Upon entering my room it dawns on me that my room has become unusually hot, and I must open the window and insert my fan. Recirculating the air in this small bedroom usually alleviates the pressure that has built up from train number one. It take approximately one hour and a half for this what must be Hunter Harrison extended freight to lumber through downtown. It may stop and change personnel. At about ten it is calm again. At eleven it starts anew but for a shorter length of time. At noon it is the bomb, and I mean the big one. I have to get out of the room, because my head is pounding, my joints are aching, and my sciatic nerve is singing Nessun Dorma. From noon onward we have both Amtrack consists to look forward to. Luckily GE and their diminishing stock profile decided to become a locomotive manufacturer with large plants both in Pennsylvania and Texas. They tout their environmentally friendly ES44AC as the most cutting edge locomotive ever built, simply because it contains a microwave tube that transmits engine diagnostics to a small Cessna and then to their central satellite for relay to Jacksonville. "A three day repair becomes a three hour repair!" gleefully states a GE representative. He then proceeds to lure an attractive Lolita into their facility to show off his tool. 4,400 horsepower he tell her, and let's her get behind the wheel. If bimbos are test driving the most powerful locomotives in the world in Texas, then Roy Moore was the foreman. With some grease, a toe in your ass, and a pat on the back GE managed to slip its 7FDL four stoke diesel prime mover into modest Amtrack passenger locomotives. (Damn, these clever internet boys just keep on ticking) Bluetooth Turntable. Self-driving cars. And we could halt global warming and feed the world... The GE7FDL, with its massive power footprint, eliminated the need for an auxiliary unit. It was powerful enough, and GE had the know how, to create Head End Power and AC power for the train carriages with one engine. It is the same tried and true engine that found its way back into the ES44AC after they fell out of love with their own newly developed GEVO engine. Consequently the C40-9 (or Dash 9) for short still is operating under the EPA's radar. The ES44AC is a souped up version of what all ready was the most invasive polluting diesel/electric locomotive in existence. Yes, it was effective and as Hunter Harrison has shown can pull two mile long intermodal freights. For those of us peons who live down by the river and not up in the Connecticut hills, that diesel microdust, infrasonic pollution, and escaping alternating current have wreaked havoc on our population. Trouble is no one will say so. In a world simple where we need good doctors, a lot of them, and a few good hospitals, instead we have miles and miles of bureaucratic red tape sealing the weeping wounds of the Sackler empire. Agencies. Departments. Offices. Companies. All that perform USELESS functions for the health and well being of America's citizens except collecting our hard-earned dollar and turning it over to Uncle Sam. It is a big circle jerk, Washington and corporate America, and we are losing.

Roy's Lolita
I will try to capsulize, on the franchise, verbalize, the Adirondack quackery of the flim flammery. So life has beene. Bean. Mean. Suffering. The news of late is commensurate of the legislate. Roy Moore is on the block. Tuesday will tell a large issue for D.C. The Donald, like any effective United States President, has stirred up holy hell in the Middle East. Shaking the Tree as Peter Gabriel would sing. I have seen a few glimpses of positive trends in the Republican leadership. What are they? Evidently, although our news has reported nada, ISIS largely has been removed from Iraq. There was a large celebration of security forces, of which we know naught. Gump has been shipping G.I.'s to the Middle East since he became Prez. Lester Young might have objected. If ISIS has been removed or better yet defeated on Iraqi soil, this is major news. This is not wiener news. Why have we not seen this? We have seen snippets of the wild fire in Cali. We have seen a lot of sexual harassment news. I guess Hollyweird likes their sex scandals. The Dem's laid Al Franken on the alter, a human sacrifice of a needed good guy in the Senate. Bad move and more surprising he caved. I would believe there was a large donation to his future. Will Roy be more? We will see. Ironic that decades old issues suddenly have surfaced. B.S. Let it lie. Humbert Humbert like little girls, and Nabakov proved it was beautiful. In good ole Raleigh them white-haired fat cats are so afraid for their own daughters, because they are not capable of teaching or protecting them. Losers. I would like to hear more about "our" victory in Iraq. This is major news, a story which is the longest war in American history, and yet we have heard naught. That is because it is show. Still if our American boys have been successful burning extreme towel heads, Sarah Huckabee Sanders should be telling us about it. The news of late has been shate. Holidays for everyone. Bitcoin? Shitcoin. Well Street. Mall Feet. If ever Fight Club was relevant, it is now. If ever "V" was relevant, it is now. Destroy Parliment. Destroy Wall Street, the scourge of America. I am so sick of reading about these assholes. Fascism has arrived in America with a capital F.

The Opioid Highway
My nightmare of late is being murdered by cartel thugs. Previously this ultimate nightmare has manifested itself as various tragic and upsetting scenarios sprinkled into my lifetime. Is there a reason at some points in your life your subconscious mind decides to relive all of your perils? I believe there is an answer to that question, and I believe it has something to do with the unprecedented violence unfolding in America. Life always has been a struggle. The original settlers of North America, the "Lost" Colony perished at the hands of mother nature. Mankind struggles, endures, and perseveres to at some point be rewarded for his efforts. They could present themselves as small tokens, love perhaps. They could present themselves as sustenance. They could present themselves as material wealth. In Christian philosophy what are God's rewards for man's superlative efforts? Job. Job toiled, prospered, and had everything taken away from him. Certainly the knowledge of God should be enough to sustain us, but in today's political climate, it has become more difficult. For the first time in decades survival has become more daunting. It seems everywhere we turn the internet is trying to deceive us. Phishing E-Mails crowd our In Boxes, and computer-generated telephone calls bait us with misleading opportunities. Truly it has become a time of great turmoil, and we are being forced to reckon with it. My nightmares manifest themselves as reflections of tumultuous moments in my life. For example when my first purchased motorcycle was stolen by fraternity boys at OSU. Secondly when freedom of thought and individuality were stripped from me while working at sea. Like everyone I have quite a few almost tragic scenarios. My mother dwells in them, and perhaps this is a symptom of aging or ensuing dementia. Living in self-created tragedy in my humble opinion is not healthy. It solves no problem other than reinforcing sorrow, strife, and pain. If having these emotions reciprocated by a fellow human beings is the cure to them, than I must digress. Simply this qualifies as displacing your own hardship on someone else. Perhaps in some small faction of humankind this suffices as healing. I cannot condone this psychology. Making someone else feel bad, because you do is not Christian. It is the antithesis of Christianity. Christianity promotes love as a solution to ills. Arguing for the sake of argument, for the sheer catharsis of negative emotion, is a pointless waste of time, and yet I am sure many families may still practice this. My parents did, and maybe when you are cemented to your unchanging future, this seems like the only escape. Perhaps heated, antagonizing, vitriolic argument serves some purpose, but not in my life. I was discouraged from teaching public school, because my cooperating teacher during my tenure as a student teacher was a proponent of using emotion or temper to control his charges. The entire length of my student teaching experience built up to nothing other than learning when to become angry at the students. This was his wise lesson to me as an upcoming educator. Like environment court in Columbus, Ohio I was dissuaded by what should have been a supportive mentor. Two men failed by practicing non-Christian behavior. This must be common in humanity, or is it just revealed in Capitalism? When I went to environmental court I had recognized my mistakes, exercised a strong effort to remedy them, and was contrite. This made no difference to Judge Richard C. Pfeiffer, Jr. Before I entered his courtroom he and his public prosecutor all ready has decided how to proceed. I made the grievous mistake of pleading guilty to my littering charge, and because I had, Mr. Pfeiffer proceeded to take from me the maximum amount allowed by the law. He attempted to take my money, but he did not create justice. I was so livid from his shortsighted decision only did I want to create more crime in spite of him. I had been sorry, and all ready had made my own restitution, and yet only because I pleaded guilty he and his friend took my money. Maybe they thought the sheer shock of having to pay a $500.00 fine for littering would teach me lesson. In some criminal justice cases a hefty fine could serve as a future deterrent. In my case as an intelligent, responsible, and Christian adult all ready had I paid by debt. I reversed my mistaken action, sought forgiveness, and was punished anyway. This must be an old school justice, like arguing for no reason. It must be a way for those incapable of thinking, understanding, and learning to seek retribution by affectation. We will challenge our emotions to be so disgusted with an action that it will cure it. It is not effective, just as Donald Trump and his administration are not. They are not smart enough to be in positions of leadership, because leadership requires more than shoot outs at the O.K. Corral. How many more shoot outs must America endure before we realize that life and our earth are fragile? Without God they will not endure.

Chasing the Tale
America has become such a bass-ackwards nation. Faintly can I remember when America was a leader. Possibly this was when J.F.K. was President. That didn't last long. No good deed goes unpunished. Now we have Trump, and since his inauguration murderous violent crime has dominated local news in North Carolina. Watching three young news broadcasters become street wise against their own wishes is disconcerting. They like to joke around, be light-hearted and happy, but now their job is describing where the next murder has taken place. It's every night. Raleigh. Durham. Fayetteville. Crime rates have not improved despite what a mayoral or gubernatorial candidate will tell you. We vote for mayor on Tuesday. It is not surprising to me, because always I have known the true colors of Fayettenam. They razed the old Sheraton Inn and built condos overlooking downtown. They built designer luxury condos on Hay Street. They are building a thirty million dollar minor league baseball field with supporting accoutrements, and while I first disagreed with this decision have come to support it. If they can turn that gravel pit into something useful, so be it. It has become all smoke and mirrors, he said, she said. Blah blah blah. Trump lies through his teeth, the American President. The point I wanted to make before becoming distracted with left ear tinnitus was that as a country we would rather view business and political leaders fall from sexual improprieties than see our nation prosper. Perhaps one's sexual proclivities are a good litmus test for character. Perhaps not. I think any grown man when offered a blow job in the White House would take it. Your anger at being impeached for such a slip of judgement could cause you to lie. It's no one's business really. I guess its the tabloidesque news media who desire such a thing. Other senior nations have graduated the sexual academy first. America has yet to catch up. With our lovely system of Capitalism, without a moral compass involved to govern our buying, America's chosen system of economics has failed. We are without a Capitalist conscience. Once we had such a thing, and it was created by religion. Only religion, an understanding of Christianity and God no matter what denomination, is the course of moral and ethical decision making. America, in her bass-ackwards descent, has attempted to eradicate God from public consciousness. This has nothing to do with the separation of Church and State. America was founded on religion, and like most important tenants of our national heritage, this has been forgotten, eradicated. Big Brother truly has stepped in, not through ISIS, but by being sold and bought by outside foreign interests. When traditionally American businesses are discarded indiscriminately to foreign interests, such as Hollywood being sold to the Japanese, or Manhattan being sold to the Chinese, how can fascism and terrorism not encroach our borders? What has brought America down has been globalization, globalization not allowing America to out source our jobs, but globalization allowing non-America foreign interests to seep into our social fabric. I see it every day on television (although at least in the news this seems to be getting better), on the internet, and in public. I have become a bit of a snob, realizing it is necessary. I am surrounded by shit, and to keep the shit off of you you must realize what it is. America is shit. We would rather watch our business leaders and politicians fail for ill chosen sexual improprieties rather than see our nation prosper virtuously. Virtuously means with a moral and ethical conscience. We will have to begin doing the right thing, and that will not start at the Trump White House. Here in North Carolina, the state of the bathroom bill, white-haired Republicans try to protect themselves from darky. Instead of recognizing one's sexual longings and implementing a system of satisfying those biological necessities, we hide behind a bridled scapegoat. We are too immature to understand ourselves, the human being. Jesus. How ignorant can we be? For propositioning a teenager we throw the book at a grown man. Words, they are words. "Hey honey, how about a little candy?" Branded for life, not a child rapist, a sexual deviant, or a predator, but a man simply who asks a girl for something that once could provide healing. We have perverted sex in America to unfathomable, inexplicable, illogical proportions. Senior nations would not be seen scurrying for tail. Chasing pussy? Jesus. You buy it.

Jass and Its Origins
I can't believe Trump is trying to pick a war with Cuba. Smoke and mirrors as is his inane verbal sparring with Kim Jong Un. There is no way retired four star Marine General James Mattis will let the United States provoke a nuclear war with North Korea. He is a scholar and a diplomat, the necessary credentials to be Secretary of Defense. Luckily for us effectively he transitioned into his new chapter of life after retiring from the Marine Corp. Not everyone does. While Ash Carter was a noted academic, I was not a big fan of his work as Secretary of Defense. To me his bent was not unlike that of the defense industry, to make money. Secretary Mattis reminds me of Dame Madeline Albright, sophisticated, reserved, and scholarly. The American people are lucky to have him in the Trump cabinet. Likewise I feel we are lucky to have retired Marine Corp. General John F. Kelly as President Trump's Chief of Staff. Knowing full well the realities and capabilities of nuclear war, they will keep us out of harms way. Even with Trump's smoke stack, a continual idiotic, provocative, inciting blast of hot air which serves only to distract both the media and the populace from real issues, these two men will keep America at least from beginning World War lll. America's covert military operations fighting ISIS and protecting poppy fields are yet to be understood. Muckraking is an anachronistic practice, and yet Trump's ignorance has resurrected it like the traditional lobbing of shit. I can't listen to any of it, but his bull in a china shop approach to the presidency will get him impeached. I am certain of it, and it is just a matter of time before the news stories accumulate to a point of no return. Why would Cuba be trying to torture American diplomats? The answer is, because resurrecting the Bay of Pigs is a diversion the size of Texas. On the national news this evening I heard a blatant lie. On covering the purported sonic weapon assault on the embassy in Havana, an interviewed representative erroneously stated that the symptoms experienced by diplomats in Cuba were not related to any known effects of sound waves. That was an egregious lie. It was not unlike the blatant lies we have been hearing during the presidential campaign. It was a lie. I would suggest a casual Googling of Vladmir Vavreau, the noted French scientist who documented the ill effects of infrasound. Brain damage is a stretch, but cancer is not. Electromagnetic waves cause cancer, because their inherent electricity, magnetism, heat, and vibration cause cells to become unstable and mutate into cancer. It is simple and well-documented in the G.W.E.N study published by the United States government. I have it in my file cabinet. There have been cures for cancers for years, and yet they like opioids they are being manipulated for wealth. This is not about what I wanted to talk. I do want to say that upon watching a YouTube video of the starting of an EMD SD70M locomotive, that it was disturbing to see the Microsoft Windows logo appear on their computer screens. A behemoth 4000 horse power locomotive is being controlled not by a UNIX operating system but by Windows? Ahem. Does NASA now use Windows instead of UNIX? Even Apple rewrote their popular OS on the UNIX platform for OS X. My Mac Pro never has crashed once. Still a huge, rumbling, ominous, diesel prime mover is being controlled by a PC. Ha! Then it dawned on me that Bill Gates has a piece of the GE pie and vice versa. How can you battle money gods? You can keep pecking away at their inproprieties and hope the man does not come knocking on your door, or rather sneaking around in your back yard in the wee hours of the night. That's why I have guns, the same reason most Americans have guns. Protection. No one is going to kick in my back door and make it out alive. It is simple. In the "Ville" murder is rampant. If anyone feels like they have the right to victimize my home, they will die in the process. It all ready is thought out. Not a nanosecond for retrospection. If you step into my home with ill intention uninvited, then you will get shot. For me its only a matter of with what. Usually I sleep with a .22 automatic, because it is small and possibly not so lethal. I don't want to stain my floors with too much blood. Then again one may not be such a good shot at two in the morning and no contacts. In that respect the .45 may come in handy. Is it noticeable louder than the .22? I would think so, but its round is not supersonic like the .38 not to mention that it is and has been the choice for the defense of America. The A1 1911 is a reliable and effective weapon as is the carbine rifle. I have them both loaded. Enough of that. The issue I wanted to discuss is the disparity between white and black America. North Carolina must be the most Zip Coonesque of any state. Only here in Mayberry, which was a more realistic moral landmark, can conservative white men attempt to legislate social issues. They hide from darky, don't understand Shaft, and would rather black America not exist at all. The disparity between black and white America is so great, I stopped trying to wrap my thoughts around those living around me. Truly black America to me is the only bridge to the millennium. Not because of gang violence, prison populations, or unemployment but because of the struggle of the black populace after slavery. It is the soul of America. Even in this respect I have to take a moment to diss the jazz community. If any racist jazz musician again tries to take credit for swing rhythm... Yes, jazz is a complicated art form, and yes it comes from a variety of sources uniting in the Louisiana delta. African rhythms, the blues, church, Sousa, slave songs, and field hollers all can be heard in good jazz. But the groove of swing surprisingly can be heard in other places. To name a few American bluegrass music, military fife and drum corp, and Indian raga. It was a revelation to me a few nights ago, when I realized the intricate cadences and melodies of fife and drum music swing. Not only that the hillbilly folk music of the Appalachian Mountains, some of the oldest mountains in the world, also swings. Both of these styles of American music came before jazz. There, I said it. Peace be with you, and also with you.

War Time Politics.
Like fire and Brimstone both Obama and W. rose from their dead and spoke. It's a miracle. Retired presidents must be pretty content. We witnessed the most authoritative political speech since the entrance of Trump. It was inspiring, seeing General John F. Kelly orate. How it was. He knew things, military protocol, and he explained them articulately and compassionately. Bravo! I don't listen to the rest of it, bickering between Baby Boomers. It is such a waste of time, and yet this is how we were reared, listening to our parents argue about nothing. Still they have the wealth and the power, and my generation toils in anonymity. I have begun to realize I will not have anything during my lifetime and certainly not if I continue to expose the fraudulence (I'm not sure if that is a word, but it is similar to flatuence!) of America. They are comfortable with it. It was inevitable. When Rudy Giuliani prosecuted and incarcerated the leaders of the mafia, they had to regroup somewhere. Why not on Wall Street? It was the perfect ruse. They also migrated to control post Cold War Russia. I would say corruption in the world has escalated. Why today did Obama and W. feel compelled to become vocal about America's lack of leadership and progress? Was it those four dead servicemen in Africa? What were they doing in Niger? We know America's army is a paid fighting force. Exposing Big Pharma as the patronage for Afghanistan poppy cultivation made a dent in America's pride. It is not good press. Way to go "60 Minutes." You made up for that crap show a month ago. Likewise the Fayetteville Observer has begun to do quality investigative reporting. It is better than taking the money.

Eldercare and Its Pitfalls
Dementia is a bitch. It nothing more is an exaggeration of a woman "on the rag." Bitchy, irrational, selfish, hypoglycemic, and angry. Today, hell day, I was just waiting for the shit to hit the fan. First, eating waffles and bacon at three in the afternoon on a Sunday is the antiChrist. I should have remembered this, except that today I made the mistake of fixing Campbells tomato soup and a toasted cheese sandwich. This really pisses my mom off. If I were on my P's and Q's, I would word that differently. Off is a preposition, and one does not end a sentence with a dangling preposition. Really it is a dangling participle, Not. A preposition should not dangle like your penis. Whatever. Eating lunch at three in the afternoon on a Sunday. Hell. I made that mistake today, only because I spent four hours in the car on the highway yesterday. I was tired. Like the majority of the populace, I sleep when I can. "Get what you can, can it, and sit on the can." Lots of folks in Fayettenam have done that, and they are filthy rich. I, on the other hand, am poor. I have not only the antagonism of both of the females in my immediate family, but the antagonism of America. Corrupt America. Trump America. The legal drug trade, now as reported by "60 Minutes," as Big Pharma, the reason we are in Afghanistan. The drug companies are controlling Washington and thus the United States Military. Those poor, ignorant, naive bastards willing to get their asses shot off for their country, are gathering poppies for the legal drug trade. No surprise there. Shit. So our van stopped working. Our 1999 Toyota Sienna van failed to turn over a new leaf. It failed to start, in our driveway, a few days ago. Its battery is pretty new, one year old to be exact. It has a three year replacement policy. I had no worries about it, other than the van was dead in the driveway. I left it, and traveled to Boone, North Carolina to visit my uncle. When I came back, there it sat, the van, dead in the driveway. No matter what I did in the meantime. Counselor and therapist for my uncle and his wife. No matter the altruistic offering of moi. Fuck all that. The van is sitting int he driveway, DOA. When I arrived back home after four hours on the highway, I was tired. I didn't much care about the van, because mi madre has spent beaucoup dinero on that van. Each time we take it to Triple A to get its annual inspection (that's once a year) they dredge up whatever repairs are necessary. This annual forty dollar inspection cost us a grand. What was it? Timing belt. Water pump. Blah blah. Did they actually do it? I don't know. I used to do these repairs myself, but with three vehicles in our immediate family now.... You have to trust. Before that it was a valve cover gasket, transmission fluid, and something else. You never know. This time it was timing belt and water pump. I realize having owned and driven a Toyota Tercel for many years, the timeline for Japanese import repairs. The Triple A suggestions have been timely. They have been accurate. The reason for the van's unwillingness to start in the last few days, like most everything, is a new riddle. I was busy on the road, and that van's reluctance to start after all of this work was a irritant, to both me and my moms. To make a long story short I knew in a matter of time my ass would roll because that van was stationary in the driveway. Because it was Sunday and because I get to choose what I pleasure, I left the van for later. After half a bottle of bourbon, to forget about my family, and to forget about Stephan Sanders and his program for the Fayetteville Symphony, and to forget about my homosexual neighbors and their inhibitions, insecurities, and foibles, (mostly my mother's dementia) I decided to probe a little deeper. The battery registered a full twelve volts, after an overnight charge. And after sleeping, an impossibility in America, I tried jumping that van with my able Nissan truck. No mas. No more. DOA. I remember when I installed the new battery a year ago, I had an issue with the terminal connector. Even after putting in the new battery, it didn't want to start. I took off the connector, put it in the vise, and bent, cleaned, and manipulated it until the bolt would tighten. As it were that same problematic terminal end had grown white dust between its strata. White dust. That two-tiered device, a cheap piece OEM metal from Toyota, had grown a new layer of non-conductive white ash. Okay. I discovered the issue, not with panic, not with dementia, and not with tragedy. The world would not end because the van was dead. It just was not going to be my priority. As an educated, adult, intelligent heterosexual man, I get to choose. That is my God-given right, something that pales today. We all have become slaves, again.

The Racist Robocop Syndrome
Watching fatal pedestrian train fatalities is like watching untrained, ignorant, racist cops indiscriminately kill black men. It defies logic. The more you watch it the more it does not make sense. The more Americans overdose, especially in Ohio, it doesn't make sense. I don't think Americans are killing themselves on purpose. I do think that in this day and age death in some cases seems a better alternative. I feel so lousy some days, I can't understand who someone can feel so bad. Then I remember this is what depression is, an inexplicable oppression that hinders your thinking, your emotions, and your body. Bacteria functions in a similar way. I'll always remember the time I ate a packet of tainted peanut butter while working on the ship. I was sitting in my bunk, and my body's reaction to the poison was immediate and severe. What happened is your central nervous system shuts down. I felt my bodily sensations, my senses, just shut down. Your ability to feel something disappeared like you were lying in a little coffin of death. I didn't necessarily feel bad, but I couldn't feel anything. My tactile receptors in my skin shut off and I felt my body reject the bacteria straight up my gullet and out of my mouth. In one fell swoop I up chucked the goo and felt immediately better. It was a startling experience, feeling your central nervous system shut down. I don't mean you ability to think but your ability to feel something. Feeling today is over rated. It as a way of life has been shelved, the reason why people are over dosing is because we as human being need to feel. It is the core component of the human organism. If were were meant not to feel things, then God would have made us computers. If one looks back we will find that feeling always has been a central component of human existence. The human beings ability to feel compassion, love, jealousy, or hate is what makes us human. It could be said that we may function more efficiently without feeling. It can get in the way. I have discovered this truth living with my geriatric mother. Often her feelings take control obstructing her ability to solve a problem. When I separate her anxiety about a problem from the problem itself, often I can solve it quickly. She likes to brood about problems, because in an abstract way it gives on incentive, motivation, and concentration. Anger can do the same thing. It can focus you very quickly into seeing the logic in a situation. I don't enjoy anger. I live my life with a minimum of duress, and usually I have few problems. Living in the American South, again, its protocol is feeling. People here live with their feelings on their sleeves, and it is not productive. It gives you a purpose. It actualizes your emotions, but I have found most often in a negative way. You end up spinning around in circles, endless circles, looking for the light. I have learned from time and experience your thoughts are what will save you. That is difficult, because we are hard wired as human beings to need to feel. Out emotions are part of our psyche, and without them we are wandering androids without a purpose. When I did my student teaching in Lee County North Carolina in 1985, my cooperating teacher used emotion to control his charges. He taught band at the junior high school. If I had to learn one lesson in that short period of tutelage, it was when and how to get angry at the students. When to blow your temper and make the kids understand you meant business. It was a bit of a ruse like ? I don't know what. What I did know is that I could not devote the rest of my life to an anachronistic way of disciplining school children. I all ready use my emotions to perform expressive music. I all ready use my emotions to actualize my own soul. Use my emotions to bring order to an unruly classroom? I must be in the American South. Consequently never have I taught public school in the state, and never have I wanted to. Rather I would like to be active in the field of music without the bother of discipline. Discipline. What does teaching music have to do with discipline? I don't care, because without teaching public school it is not necessary. I would think in retrospect that teaching forms of discipline would be necessary in a quality collegiate educational system. I knew when I went to UNC-Chapel Hill, it was not a good education school. Most aspiring music educators went to ECU or Appalachian State. I was accepted at UNC-Chapel Hill, so I felt it was my bounden duty to show my respect for the institution and go. I paid the price. I did become a much better musician. I became a poorer trumpeter, because in as much as my professor was a brilliant musician he did not know how to teach trumpet. I learned how to play trumpet years later while working on cruise ships. I talked with other professional brass players, and from them learned the differing methodologies of brass playing. These were things never I had heard in my college education at UNC-Chapel Hill. I don't have sour grapes, but I do understand that college teaching positions are multifaceted. Professors do more than one thing, and often their main instrument is not related to their primary teaching responsibilities. This has been my experience throughout college, and I remember when trying to become viable in the teaching community many talents were better than one. As such my piano playing skills should have augmented my qualifications as an educator. They didn't. At UNC my trumpet teacher desired I focus all of my attention on the trumpet, and yet I graduated a lesser trumpeter than when I went it. It was because his pedagogy was confused. There was more frustration involved then success. The successes I had I figure out myself with no help from him. Is this the way it should be? College is self-discovery? Many college professors use this method, and it is a crutch. It is a way not to have to teach. If you can't teach or don't want to teach, teach teachers. Playing the trumpet like most anything is easy if you know how. This is how I solve my mother's emotionally-laden problems. I separate out the frustration, futility, and history of failure and simply take the time to figure out how to solve the problem. Most of the information is readily available on the internet. Teaching should not be abstract. I always have appreciated the educators who were willing to give me the information. At UNC they did not do this. They told jokes in their ivory tower, and made it crystal clear that there was no way in hell you ever could know as much as them. They did not champion students, they patronized them. This is not an effective system of education, and hence I do not have a high opinion of my music education in Chapel Hill. It was the most difficult thing I ever have achieved, graduating. Possibly in some abstract way all of that rhetorical lecturing was useful. It was not until I entered the D.M.A. program at OSU that I discovered unpretentious, selfless, altruistic teaching. The major responsibility of professors at UNC was to seem Godlike. There were awards, publications, and societies. These all look good on the resume. They are the resume for most intents and purposes. Real teaching happens in the classroom, not on paper. I am happy to have continued my musical career without an academic position, and such my musical output is more pure an honest than America will allow. As far a the racist Robocop Syndrome, cops are shooting black men because they want to. It has nothing to do with training, conscience, or professionalism. These policemen think that America will be a better place without these black men on the streets. What they don't understand is that for what is becoming the majority of Americans, the streets are our lives. Possibly that is the difference between white and black America. Blacks choose to live in the streets in a visceral, fast-moving, consequential environment, and whites choose to live lives of security, security created by Big Brother. It's a thought. Robocops representing Big Brother have no clue how to relate to a black man riding a bicycle on the street. They are guilty before being pulled over, and it is a travesty the American extermination is beginning this way. Ethic cleansing has begun in the streets, and it will be the streets that will stop it. Try carrying loaded shotguns around the streets of Washington under the leadership of Huey Newton today, and it will be mass murder. "If they come for one of us [sic] they are coming for all of us." That is they way they should feel.

The Fort Bragg Lava Lamp and Timothy McVeigh
Fayetteville is back on the weather map being the hottest city in North Carolina for a reason. It is not because we are in a depression. It is not because we are in the Cape Fear River Valley. It is not because of all of the tall pine trees and white sand. It is not because of all the murderous violence. It is because of trains. I took a drive out to Fort Bragg the other night, because I was curious why my ears continuously have been ringing. It is suspect that there were no running locomotives in the Milan Yard. That is unusual especially for the weekend. Sundays at the Milan Yard are meant for assembling trains. What better way to spend church day? My ears have been ringing non stop for over a week, and I have an idea why. It can drive you crazy, because they are clever, clandestine, and covert the way Special Forces should be. Special Forces train other armies, but they still operate incognito, stealth, and silent. This is the modus operandi. Fayetteville is getting a billion dollar inner loop all because of Fort Bragg. It is the best road we ever have had, smooth black pavement seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Murchison Road magically turns into a highway ushering you past Simmons Army Air Base and around the trunk line that services the post. That was the major impetus of the expansion. Of course it is to get all of those active duty military personnel in and out more quickly. They don't tell us the numbers anymore, how many troops are deployed. How many troops are stationed here. There was a list in the Fayetteville Observer the other day of the generals stationed here. I guess they are afraid. They buttoned up Fort Bragg like a loose hem. I was interested to drive out there, and upon doing so rolled down my driver side window and took a whiff. That's all I could take. Driving by Fort Junction the diesel micro dust was so thick you barely could breath. Supposedly the army uses GenSet N-ViroMotive locomotives manufactured by National Railway Equipment Company located in Mt. Vernon, Illinois for their in yard operations. Funny, Mt. Vernon used to be known for their Bach Stradivarius trumpets. Now they place Cummins diesel engines in locomotive bodies. It sounds like a good idea, but their website says only seven are being used in the Army. I have several Google Map screen shots of the red Army locomotives in use at Fort Bragg, but I have not been able to match it to a model. From breathing the air at Fort Junction and having watched plumes of black smoke rising from the Honeycutt Marshalling Yard, I can assume the Army has succumbed the same way Norfolk Southern did. General Electric pitched them the same spiel about the GPS tracking of engine systems via microwave transmission from the engine. "We can turn a three day repair into a three hour repair because of wireless engine diagnostics." GE tracks their 30,000 ES44AC's via satellite. If I were to extrapolate from the army's battlefield communication system, I would say these locos don't quite have enough juice (!) to get that signal into the stars. They use an intermediary, a little gray plane with a transceiver which accepts the signal and rebroadcasts it to the desired destination. Maybe. Saying an ES44AC doesn't have enough juice is like saying the sun is not hot. It is a rolling nuclear reactor, so to speak. Without the use of plutonium, the GE 7FDL-16 is the next best thing. GE for a short period of time had eyes to utilize their own GEVO engine in the ES44AC. Survey says that stopped quickly and the tried and true 7FDL was used instead. The GEVO slipped GE under the EPA's radar for the required period of time, and they went back to business as usual. Strap a massive dildo on a C40-9W and head to Hollywood. I mean swap out the DC traction motors for AC drives and install NORAD control in the auxiliary cab. You could command all of America's Ground Forces from that control room, and that they do in CSX-T's facility in Jacksonville, Florida. No one much cares what they do, except when Fayetteville suddenly becomes the hottest city in North Carolina. No one has said it, but I guess Stephen Paddock really didn't like the music of Jason Aldean. If you want a roaring good time at your party, book Jason Aldean. I can't believe what I am seeing and hearing in response to America's most heinous war crime. With Trump in the White house it is inescapable that the media are bought and paid for from the top down. The coverage of the Las Vegas shooting is the worst in America's history, because Washington is in denial. Should not a red flag go up when America's medical establishment calmly is accepting mass genocide? This is Trumpism. Trumpism is the process of diverting mass chaos induced by political negligence by condoning Communism. That is all the far right is. It dawned upon me when I was thinking in bed last night being harassed by ES44AC's. The Far Right, Political Correctness, and the NRA are all Communism. They have been trying to sterilize the human being for decades in lieu of a mindless, conformist, frigid population of droids. We have become that, receiving our commands from our iPhones and staring blankly into space. Trumpism is interviewing a Wake Med official accepting the first major maneuver of war on American soil in our recent history. The ramifications of Stephen Paddocks actions are illimitable. The brains of American droids, like Trump's cabinet, are not capable of rationalizing such an event. Not Terrorism? What the fuck is terrorism? Of course the massacre in Las Vegas was an act of terrorism. The wealthy political regime that runs America is trying to save the face of America's playground. Want a roaring good time at your party? Rent Las Vegas and hire Jason Aldean. I guess Stephen Paddock really didn't like his music. So far the Philippine connection has been ignored. Is it because they are an ally of the United States? All of those Philippine soldiers working on Navy ships which mysteriously collide with cargo vessels? Something is awry in the case of Stephen Paddock, and Washington and the mainstream media are covering it up. News reporting at its best. "We should expect more war crimes, more genocide in the near future in America." That is what the Wake Med official seemed to be saying. "We can expect more of this kind of activity. Afterall it is for what we train. We like to work. We like to treat penetrating gunshot wounds, especially in children." ? Our lovely contingency of politicians in Washington are unable to reach a rational conclusion about any issue, because their responsibility has become anarchy. Anarchy fuels the fire, diverts American attention away from the American Dream, and keeps the wealthy in power. Timothy McVeigh is a distant memory. While grotesque in appearance the biography of Timothy McVeigh’s
convictions through hundreds of hours of recorded cassette tapes on
MSNBC offers a telling expository narrative of a post traumatic Desert
Storm veteran. Skilled and cunning McVeigh was indoctrinated by none
other than the American armed forces during Saddam Hussein’s invasion of
Kuwait. After viscerally living a life of combat against terrorist
forces, McVeigh found despondency returning to the continental United
States. A mundane life of daytime television and fast food could not
meet the expectations of a tried and true war veteran. After suffering a
year’s tenure of depression and post-traumatic stress, McVeigh in a
futile attempt began to conceive his own vigil based upon the
mistreatment of the Branch Dividian followers of David Koresh at the
Mount Carmel property near Waco, Texas. In McVeigh’s eyes the 168 human
beings murdered during his bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal
Building were martyrs intended to represent the hundreds of thousands of
innocent victims persecuted by an increasingly fascist American
government. Posthumously his own execution was a Socratic touché
vehemently objecting to his own hypocritical indoctrination during the
United States military’s war against Iraq. It was a plea for peace.
That was his story. I guess Stephen Paddock really doesn't like country music. Washington does not like to look inward, because in a Godless society only human beings are to blame. If politicians as a whole still accepted Jesus Christ, then it would be reasonable for Satan to assume some responsibility. As it is now, in Godless America, only Washington is to blame. It is their job to oversee socioeconomics. Their job is to assure the well being of the American Dream, economic mobility, opportunity, and happiness. The Trump White House operates the only way it knows how, like a two bit real estate firm with no moral or ethical scruples. A sitting American President throwing rolls of paper towels to Puerto Ricans in the midst of a humanitarian crisis? No longer can I listen to a word Trump says. Michael Collins would have something to say, and we all should listen.
