Phased Array Microwaves and Deregulation

Deregulation in America is bad.  Throwing caution into the wind, gambling heavily, vetting nothing, and propping up shady Wall Street investments is reflective of the stock market crash creating "The Great Depression."  "The Jazz Age" or "Roaring Twenties" induced a collapse of America's financial markets which took decades to recover.  Airports didn't want G5 near their operations, and America did it anyway.  Chaos has ensued in the aviation industry.  Near collisions, shuts downs, and frustration for flyers have been the result of an unhealthy protocol for the wireless telecommunications industry.  Phased array radar is bad.  HAARP pioneered this steerable microwave radiation, and with it they have warmed the universe.  Long range low frequency radio communication was the goal without a 150 mile long wire.  Now phased array microwaves are in aircraft "radomes," in Elon Musk's low earth orbiting satellites, on G5 towers, and in dozens of military fighting vehicles.  This industry never has considered the massive damage they are causing with this ultra-powerful and hot microwave radiation.  Steerable beams takes many transmitters working in tandem having their phase modulated to direct the radiation.  This means more energy, more heat, and more global warming.  Back in the day it was just a few cellular transmitters, and we were cautious with their placement.  Now they are sheets of transmitters giving us tans we don't want.  You can bet they are listening.

The Free Market Jungle

A pattern has begun to emerge in American commerce.  Traditional products which always have been viewed as positive, since Covid have become compromised.  Covid put the kibosh on American business, and transformed our nation into more of a socialist entity.  Because the government provides in excess of half of most revenue in America, technically we are socialist.  The difference being our "means of production" isn't owned by the people.  We manipulate our government into paying for most things, and there is a small group of elites who run the show.  Because of Covid, a lack of a mainstream, and the proliferation of wireless technology, America's economy has shriveled.  Subscriptions to wireless products became our economy, and these tethers are balls and chains around our ankles.  When you "subscribe" to a service, no longer do they worry about your purchasing products.  Their income is ensured with you yearly contract.  It is a bad idea these contracts, and subscriptions have quelled free commerce, its need, and its pursuit.  We don't really know what to do anymore except seek immediate gratification.  What was the American economy?  When times were real our economy was real.  Products related to real life were of importance, were needed, and were purchased providing a profit for businesses and laborers.  Whether it was furniture, kitchen appliances, gardening tools, or recreational products, what was being made and sold was relevant to American life.  We had a mainstream.  People interacted with and responded to America's products.  Then came subscriptions.  Contracts.  Legal agreements.  These are red tape that encumber the freedoms of America and other nations.  The "market" or place where communities gathered and traded dwindled.  We became stranded in our homes battling in invisible pathogen that dealt a serious blow to freedom and democracy.  We have yet to recover.  It is too convenience to order food rather than prepare it ourselves.  It is entertaining and gratifying and immediate.  The effort needed to create a feeling of accomplishment and fulfillment is absent.  We have become lazy, apathetic, and callous.  The visceral drive of survival has been medicated with bandaids, anodynes, and treats.  It is better to be hungry.  When the free market system becomes compromised, then products become compromised.  For example the motorcycle dealership where I go to have my bike inspected always has been reputable.  Why would I doubt their service or products?  Then unknowingly it was sold to a different party, and things change.  When I had my Honda CB-250 inspected, they replaced my quality custom spark plugs with plugs that were worn out.  When I got home my bike began to smoke for no reason causing me distress and worry.  Never would I have guessed any business would do such an unscrupulous thing, but they did.  It took me a year to figure it out.  Today with products having shifted to Chinese manufacturing, traditional quality has been compromised.  Things are not what they used to be, so buying online via Amazon or eBay is more risky.  Looking at a product and how it is made has become important again.  This is a blow back to the days of brick and mortar shopping, and it is good.  Considering the authenticity of the information on the internet today, it should be assumed that products also have become compromised.  Take a minute and research your purchase.  Look at it.  Read about it.  Follow up, because we are living in a jungle again.

The Need of Public Enlightenment

I have learned to be careful about what I say, because the shadow of "PC" looms.  "Politically Correct" was coined a long time ago; ask Bill Maher.  He has made a career of this cryptic reason for social caution.  After the Trump presidency easily you could get killed saying the wrong thing to the wrong person.  This evil man with a sheepish grin, suave demeanor, and unassuming energy could be the poster child for passive aggressive.  In reality he is just a Southern televangelist, a smooth talking, money raising, snake oil salesman who turned America on her ear.  "PC" has been around for a long time, but now unhinged extreme survivalists are willing to go to bat for their own words, even if they don't understand them.  These offenders are a cult rallied by a great malcontent leader, Donald Trump.  After four years of his national "leadership" dissent to their cause results in violence.  We have graduated beyond "PC" to "Woke," and now people are getting killed.  I have learned to be careful about what I say, and part of that is understanding and respecting the freedoms America offers.  When I think back to more substantial times in American history, times which set examples, created civil standards, and defended the United States Constitution, the nature of American freedom was on display.  It was not easy.  For America to be free, it meant you may not agree with your neighbor, but you had the choice not to listen or pay attention.  Since Donald radicalized factions have become more vocal and even violent in their calls for recognition.  LGBT, "Pay attention to me!"  Once homosexuality was a personal choice, and most found it wise to keep it to themselves.  The internet changed this.  The immediacy of the internet has changed America for the worse along with the lock down of Covid 19.  Call it closet communism.  Staying at home and living in a computer is a communist dream.  It castrates the volatility of the human spirit and mechanism to react and become active.  Shouting through a computer terminal or iPhone is pointless, although we think it matters.  It satisfies our need for immediate gratification, but ultimately it will do nothing for our own preservation.  Doing something in person can effect change, because revolution is in the muscles.  Mother Earth's problems will not be solved in or by a database of information.  It would be wise to become reengaged in the physical world, but our physical world has been neglected.  When we became accustomed to living in cyberville, we began to ignore nature.  Now nature has been sacrificed to the god's of corporate America.  It has been happening for a long time this shift back to ugly strip malls and convenience stores.  When I travel in North Carolina, this is all I see.  Then I remember people are living in cyberville.  I pine for earlier decades, when I could go outside and feel good.  I have learned to be careful about what I say, because I have a new found respect for the freedoms of America.  For me it was a simple as understanding the way people choose to dress.  As a professional I developed a sense of personal code neutralizing the effect of wanting personal recognition.  While adolescents in their quest for maturity should seek personal understanding and identity, in the professional workplace anonymity is effective.  It removes scrutiny.  There are appropriate venues for both personal expression and professional behavior.  Dress in "Fayettenam" is far from standard.  Diversity is the operative concept in the dress of Fayetteville, and this diversity hinges on aggression.  It often does not embrace passivity.  Instead it wreaks with attitude.  It plays offense as its major strategy, and perhaps that is the most appropriate for a military town.  When we speak about a military town, rarely is it qualified as training for war.  It would be prudent to exemplify this, and it occurs on a subliminal level.  People know it, and they feel it, but it is unspoken in the mainstream.  Dress consequently is a subliminal reaction to the aggression of preparation for war.  We are all fighting for a living.  Ouch!  That is not pleasant.  Freely I will admit throughout my life I have been intimidated by peoples' dress, because it requires your accommodation.  It seeks you acknowledgement, and that takes energy.  The recognition of one's uniform perhaps is a core element of our identity.  Subsequently I make a concerted effort to acknowledge these uniforms and what they may represent perhaps making me a more open, friendly, and inquisitive person.  Often in Fayettenam the perceived message is offensive, and that requires even more energy to understand.  I remind myself we prepare for war, and it is disheartening.  It is disheartening living in a place where war is the focus.  War mongering is a shallow ideal, and businesses, companies, and corporations who capitalize on war are not virtuous.  They are opportunistic.  The overt conclusion of this reality is we are under attack, and it has become the accepted lifestyle.  The preparation for war at Fort Bragg effects every aspect of life in Fayettenam, and since Covid the boundaries and demarcation between war and peace have blurred.  Violence has become a way of life.  Without bolstered public education, there is little hope for enlightenment.

Truth Will Endure

It is gratifying to read pertinent news in the Washington Post.  With Donald Trump's shadow still being cast upon America, it has been difficult to discern truth.  Spin has been the operative motive in American politics, and these politics ruthlessly have undermined America.  We don't know what is up or down, and most "news" in the last six years has been propaganda.  The wool has been pulled over America's eyes, and a sense of reality or something truly that effects our lives is welcome.  Oh what do I speak?  The most important topic is the American economy or lack thereof.  We are up Schitt Creek.  There is no real economy, and Covid set the example of government bail out of most irresponsible business acumen.  We are too good to fail, but we aren't.  The rich won't suffer, but America's uncanny ability to be the worlds social and economic conscience has all but disappeared.  This was the intent.  Bring America down.  Bring down the free market.  All small business is struggling, and large corporate America rules the roost.  When the Post begins reporting on real issues, it is both surprising and satisfying.  These issues don't have the entertainment value of Donald Trump's demented mind, but they more relevant to the survival of the human race and planet Earth.  It is not an exaggeration to say we are on the brink of survival, and this is not spin.  Spin or diversion from ensuing truth no longer can survive.  We must understand the truth now to mitigate its extreme and tenacious avoidance during the Trump presidency.  There comes a point when the jig is up, and the piper must be paid.  We cannot just ignore the work done and refuse to pay in Trumpian fashion.  An economy cannot survive unless debts are paid.  Enter the United States economy and our staggering and insurmountable 30 trillion dollar debt.  What example does this set?  It says America is incapable of behaving responsibly.  Instead we roll the dice, drink the champagne, eat the caviar, and expect Washington to bail us out.  If they don't then there will be another Great Depression.  People will loose faith in Wall Street.  As it turns out America's car companies and most banks did follow through, but what would have happened if we had not bailed them out in the economic setback of 2008?  When Washington did pay, the CEO's of these derelict companies took vacations, paid themselves bonuses, and otherwise thumbed their noses as mainstream America.  A small group of investors got filthy rich betting against the American economy.  These are who we paid.  Where are they now the participants of "The Big Short?"  Perhaps we should not have paid and exposed the extreme shortcomings of Wall Street.  Would we really have had another Great Depression?  I think not.  It was more manipulation of Washington from the private sector.  Most people would agree that it is healthier to deal in truth even if you do lose.  At least you understand.  We are too afraid anymore to lay it out on the table and be accountable for what we are.  We are weak and afraid.  We continue to tell lies, spin the truth, and avoid responsibility for aberrant behavior.  We want to snake the other guys asshole, because there is some perverted satisfaction doing so.  Who can live this way?  It is exhausting, depressing, and depraved.  Therefore our society cannot heal, because we have forgotten the consequences of honesty.  Honesty means although it is wise to look over your shoulder, what you see doesn't intimidate you.  You have a leg up.  You understand the enemy.  Your enemy is weaker than you and eventually will stumble and fall.  When he does you will walk over him and ignore his carcass.  Tangible human results are far stronger than cowardly insecurity, and the truth is what will endure.

The Drug/Slave Trade

"American Made" is a lively romp of Hollywood cinema which stars one of America's best male lead actors, Tom Cruise.  Cruise has a penchant for picking exciting material from which to spin his particular craft of "cool."  His career largely began with "Risky Business," an 80's era L.A. adolescent teen fantasy which resonated with mainstream America.  Today "mainstream" is absent from American society, and its absence is what has created a large problem in the overall social health of our nation.  With Donald Trump's destructive presidency, which for the first time of any American president attempted to undermine democracy, society has become fractured.  Successfully he broke America into warring factions not unlike tribal tensions Eastern nations.  Native America once was tribal, but invading conquerors extinguished that vanquishing the original and indigenous culture of North America.  There was too much rich geology to sacrifice that to primitive "Indians."  The English, Scot-Irish, Italian, German, and others replaced the original ethnicity of America bringing with them captured slaves from the west coast of Africa.  These slaves built the fortunes of these new Americans on their backs for free.  Today we do not know who we are, and it is refreshing to see anything from Hollywood from any era that reinforces solidarity, a common consensus of thought.  The illicit drug smuggling trade was and still is a large part of the American economy.  "American Made" is an inquisitive and grass roots look at this South American drug trade, but one major fact is missing.  With all of the glory of the millions being made from flying drugs from South America north, who was purchasing and distributing the drugs?  No answer ever has been provided.  Drug trafficking often upon is reported, but the organizations managing this trafficking are a blaring omission.  Commonly our own government agencies are cited with distributing drugs to the lower class as a way of controlling them.  The CIA or FBI buy these drugs and spread them into the ghettos to quell potential crime for the higher classes.  Does it work?  This void of facts also applies to other American business, and the Washington lobby is the cause.  They bribe most of Washington with their deep pockets of cash, so much that the traditional free economy of America pales in comparison.  The rich all ready have all the money, so an economy for the rest of us is inconsequential.  That is why prices continue to rise, inflation now is out of control, and wages have been stagnant for decades.  The people running America don't care, so whatever the lower classes do for their on sustenance is acceptable including criminal business.  Therefore criminal business has taken over as the main method of earning a living for many people.  This criminal business is in our local governments and seeps outward to influence mainstream America.  Always I have wondered why, "Good deeds are always punished in some way."  Likewise the reason why people are angrily aggressive, combative, and defensive is because they are not "on the level."  They are doing unscrupulous unChristian things.  Their intimidation is meant to keep scrutiny off their borderline criminal behavior.  When I went to the music store recently and tried to buy bass guitar strings, there was a weird dynamic there.  It was because two Latinos were trying to sell stolen merchandise to the clerk, and they were nervous about getting caught.  As such my shopping experience was compromised and unpleasant.  It took a great deal of patience to buy my strings, and when I did purchase them they ended up being the wrong product.  The shopping experience was brutal like buying in a ghetto.  Welcome to modern America.  The question remains, whence are the millions coming to buy these drugs?  Who in America is importing the Fentanyl?  If anyone cares to remember two of America's most influential recording artists died from drug overdoses which borderlined on prescription.  Michael Jackson and Prince were sacrificed at the hands of illicit drugs.  Considering the cultural and economic influence of these two artists, their murders were a stark and brutal attack on the freedoms of America.  Their deaths should be viewed this way along with all of the deaths from drug overdoses today in America.  America is under siege from every conceivable angle, and no one much is helping.  Drugs and guns always have been a large part of this assault on the mainstream, but now we have a larger problem.  The licensing of unhealthy frequencies of the electromagnetic spectrum threatens to kill the planet.  In my daily life the most dissuasive force I face is aberrant airborne electricity.  There are over twenty WPN's in my home, and many of them are equally as strong as my own wireless network.  How do I get rid of them, this unwanted wireless electricity?  My FM radio reception is cryptic.  My wireless reliability is marginal, and my computers show disc errors from the aberrant electromagnetic energy.  What is to blame for this preponderance of unwanted energy?  Blame "Locotrol" for part of it.  Truly it is loco to make 4,400 horse power diesel electric locomotives remote controlled.  With no extra crew to man these engines, the railroads have begun spreading these consists out into the length of miles long freight trains.  They are being controlled with radio waves from local transmitters or satellites.  Consider them a cell of ambulant heat, magnetism, vibration, and electricity three miles long traveling through your countryside 24/7.  There is a reason why 2023 will be the hottest year on record, and mother Earth won' stand much more.

Ambulent Lethal Weaponry

If the dissemination of dangerous assault weapons isn't a large enough problem in the United States!  Why is violence so rampant and widespread in America?  Some would say, "Guns don't kill people, people do," and "If the AR-15 isn't available, they would find something else."  Staunchly I disagree.  If assault weapons (or semi-automatic rifles) were not available, then mass shootings resulting from many rounds fired in succession by a cowardly, mentally- challenged extremist would be less deadly.  If a malcontent had to orchestrate his assault with a single shot hunting rifle or a double barrel shotgun, his result would be less grievous.  Face it.  Multiple spewing rounds of spinning AR-15 bullets will cause more casualties in any setting, and that includes domestic terror attacks in shopping malls, schools, and outdoor entertainment venues.  Innocent citizens have become the unnecessary victims of the facile availability of assault rifles.  Period.  Our state and federal lawmakers turn a cold shoulder to the seeming meaningless deaths of our children and continue to saturate the American economy with guns.  They want the violence like January 6th.  Since 1/6 our representatives have not tightened gun legislation; they are loosening it.  "Weaponization of the Government?"  This weaponization is not from Washington.  It is from Corporate America.  Corporate America's polluting of our environment is an attack on the people.  With this widespread liberal view on ownership of assault weapons (which only will be used to kill other human beings), why would this same consortium fail to regulate their own businesses?  They don't want to.  They don't want PFAS out of the watershed.  They don't want clean air.  They don't want to prohibit microwave radiation which causes human cells to mutate into cancer.  These weapons are a tangible by product of their industrial processes and are useful to fascists.  When an industry is aware of the dangers of its manufacturing processes, then they become "weaponized."  They know they can cause harm to human beings.  Given the chance if their own livelihoods or sensibilities were challenged, in anachronistic Jim Crow Jr. fashion, they could torture or kill outside the the law.  Complain?  Pain!  Voice opposition?  Pain!  Yearn for democracy and freedom?  Death!  To undermine a nation and abolish its democracy?  Attack its children and pollute their minds.  It is Shakespearean.  Create a product that is useful and people love; kill them from the byproducts of its production.  Love and loss, and it is Shakespearean.  For profitability there must be sacrifice?  The needs of the greater good?  When Corporate America is woven into our infrastructure, how can we extricate ourselves from their influence?  When their factories are perched on the banks of our rivers, how can we expect clean water?  Why are they there?  Knowingly they use our rivers as toilets too cheap to deposit a dime.  Shitting on the many, these elite few live in ivory towers and gilded castles immune to their own effects.  In the end, and it will come,  communion with the earth will be our salvation.  The potential was there, but these few chose not to act.  Instead they chose to rape the people and Mother Earth.  This is the evil about which Jesus taught and warned.

The Tidal Wave of Airborne Muck

Life in "Nam" is hellish.  The most often cited statistic about soon to be Fort Liberty is the mass revenue it brings to Fayetteville and Cumberland Country.  "History, Heroes, and a Hometown Feeling" suffered casualties during the pandemic.  Gentrification has begun, and trees are being slaughtered like sacrificial lambs.  This new housing is reasonable, needed, and for the military.  Ghetto neighborhoods can be prime real estate, so only it takes time to convert once drug havens into livable middle-class housing.  I agree, and Ralph Huff and Menno Pinnick have been formative in planning and building new housing in Fayetteville.  What makes "Fayettenam" so challenging?   The issues at play in  Fayettenam vs. The Military Industrial Complex are metaphors for constitutional rights and the United States Code.  Many legal predicaments can be found in Cumberland County.  Since the Trump presidency regulation and oversight have stalled, and GOP-lead corporate America does as they please.  Examples?  When the FAA transitioned to a GPS navigation system in 2011 (this was their explanation) traditional flight paths were modified for the convenience and profit of commercial airlines.  Aircraft which once had to abide by a set of rules around a particular airport could fly wherever they wanted.  They abandoned most gratuitous flight diversion for downstairs neighbors and began to fly directly over downtown Fayetteville.  Downtown Fayetteville a logistical rail interchange for three railroads, and now commercial jets are spewing black soot and carbon over the indigent tent camps which have popped up.  Their life ain't easy.  It is hellish, and when you see them come into a grocery store to pee or buy food, you can see the desperation in their eyes.  They truly are living in the street, and these streets have become the refuse of forgotten society.  Living on the street may have been liberating and visceral, but when corporate America becomes empowered, the indigent population is the first to suffer.  When you walk out of your middle class home and leave your neighborhood enclave of hopeful peace and serenity, eventually and shortly you will be entering a war zone of the homeless.  This is the dynamic of Fayetteville, no longer "History, Heroes, and a Hometown Feeling."  New police chief Kem Braden has cruisers monitoring traffic on thoroughfares for the first time in months, and violent crime has subsided to a degree, still driving and shopping in Fayetteville is brutal.  There is no benefit to anyone on the ground to see a Piedmont American Eagle Embraer ERJ-145 fly over your head.  The American flag on its tail is a tawdry attempt at patriotism, but signage is not conservation.  Norfolk/Southern painted their hulking AC consists with a "green" logos suggesting the earthquake of a moving coal train somehow was favorable.  Propaganda during the Trump presidency  became misinformation, fake news, and lies and was rampant to the point of absurdity.  His campaign to discredit science, academia, and the entire collective body of scholarly knowledge only was a ruse to implement his own evil corporate agenda and force Americans into barbarism.  This barbarism  of course serves corporate America.  If you live in an Ivory Tower or a Gilded Castle with millions of dollars to clean the air, the water, and the food, then it may not concern you.  For the rest of us Americans living in the field, Maslow's Hierarchy of needs still applies.  Consequently America now is under siege by massive corporate pollution; much of it is invisible and inaudible.  As sufferers of "The Havana Syndrome" profess, the human body and spirit operate in many planes.  One is electricity which drives our heart and controls our moods and thinking, and the other is the affective response of our entire sensory system.  Sight and sound only are two of these, but the GOP thinks otherwise.  What you feel and what your instincts tell you are far more useful to human survival.  At the moment we are under attack.

Benedict Arnold Runs for President

The Dark Ages have come to America.  When a seditious lot of extremist malcontents have taken the House and with candor and honesty truly believe Donald Trump will be the GOP nominee for president in 2024, we are living in a modern Dark Ages.  In most countries a violent coup waged against the incumbent governing majority would result in death.  Donald Trump has embraced the fascist methodologies of communist dictatorships for his own ascent in politics and power, but why should he be immune from their system of justice?  The Saudis strangled dissident reporter Jamal Khashoggi at their Turkish embassy and dismembered his body carrying him out in pieces.  Moammar Gadhafi was dragged from a drain pipe, beaten, and shot in the head.  Saddam Hussein was hanged at Camp Justice and interred at his birthplace.  Donald Trump, the author and mastermind of a violent attempted coup against the United States government, lives in a gilded castle in Florida and is predicted to be the presidential nominee for the Republican Party in 2024?  It belies sanity; it preaches Hannity.  To assert such an absurdity is to confess to treason, and part of this treasonous consort is running our House.  We keep calm.  We remain cool.  We feign the appearance of civility, but there are two wars actively engaged.  A small civil war of attrition against democracy and World War III have begun.  It would be easier if we said it out loud.  How can America recover from a pandemic, when it was a smoke screen for Donald Trump's nefarious fascist agenda?  We are keeping him on a leash like a pet for entertainment, but he should be prosecuted.  It is not healthy to even mutter the words, "Trump as the GOP nominee," because it is absurd, berserk, and psychotic.  He is a political criminal, and he has remained free with his charm.  He is the slyest of the sly, the wiliest coyote, and the Zip Coon of legends.  Donald Trump watched his coup on television like a smug television producer, but the accurate ramifications of his pilot couldn't stand prime time democracy.  It wasn't fiction.

Havana, Cuba - Fidel Has Gone and Obama Visited

I am not down on the cruise industry.  I am not down on Cargill.  I am not down on the United States Army.  When you see things go awry in your lifetime, it is your responsibility to speak up.  Democracy fails when good men do nothing.  Of what do I speak?  If Fidel Castro's communist takeover of Cuba closed their borders to America, then Cuba's reopening to the world is a significant event.  An industry who capitalizes on travel by sea would be in an opportune position to exploit this political treaty.  We have Barak Obama to thank for that, the re-opening of Cuba doors to travelers circa 2016, when "The Havana Syndrome" first upon which was reported.  The civil employees in the American Embassy just down the boulevard from the cruise terminal were first to complain about the effects of infrasound.  A few studies were done and an Asian scientist reverse engineered the noise that was recorded.  It was fighter jet emissions or more likely ultrasound.  Add one plus two, multiple diesel electric prime movers hiding in the hulls of newly positioned cruise ships, and military aircraft noise and what may you get?  Something most people won't understand.  This refusal to acknowledge that because something is invisible to our sight means it isn't possible is naive.  Because you can't see something it does not exist.  Trumptistas have been exploiting this angle for two decades.  Deny science.  It was an easy tunnel for corporate America to do whatever they wanted no matter the circumstances for the American people.  More political events have transpired, and with the recognized "Technology Boom" of Google and everyone else, there are more wireless, microwave-based, pulsed energy devices than ever.  This description is what must pundits have said was the most likely source of "The Havana Syndrome."  Pulsed microwave energy.  Pulsed microwave energy has been the source of the technological boom, since Bill Clinton auctioned these frequencies to balance the federal budget.  There are a myriad of sources for this energy not to mention the Washington-based intelligence community and the U.S military.  When the FBI and CIA hedge on the probable source of the malady, you might deduce it may be their activity that is the cause.  I know a little about the cruise industry, because I worked in it for a decade.  I will tell you that ships without "Azipods" are more comfortable than ships with them.  The reason is is an azipod is a huge AC drive under the water.  It hums and it is hot.  The ocean acts as a cooling tower, but it doesn't appreciate the extra duty.  Neither does the rest of the marine life nor our coral reefs which are dying.  The oceans are getting hotter and guess why?  Again I am not down on the cruise industry, but I don't like azipods.  The very first azipod-equipped ship for Carnival was the Paradise, and it propulsion units were under the bow.  When I played production shows in the theater, the stage shook violently most of the time.  It took a while to get used to it.  Fully I understand and appreciate the novelty of a 360 degree rotating propeller pulling the ship through the water, but....   The compromise is the smoothness of the boat ride and its emissions.  How could an azipod be anything other than wonderful for the cruise industry?  Add the financial set back of 2008 to the list, and suddenly ships were traveling much slower.  These AC drives now were operating in the LF range, which means these units were producing low frequency alternating current.  This electricity was underwater, much to the "shock" of the marine life.  There also is a rotating magnetic field, heat, and vibration.  These things are not helpful to creatures beneath the sea.  Jump ahead and imagine that most railroads have converted to AC traction.  There are AC drives in the ocean and all over the continental United States and the rest of the world.  Take infrasonic emissions from the firing rate of a diesel prime mover and add these to low frequency alternating current, and you may have the end of the planet.  Let's hope not.
